Why the Competitive Program over the Rec. Program?

Recreational soccer is an in-house program with a focus of touches on the ball and is an introductiont the excitement soccer provides. Summer/Fall recreational soccer ends at 4th grade. Players that would prefer to play at a competitive level are encourage to start when they age at the U9 age group.

Competitive soccer competes against other TCSL Member Clubs at various playing levels. The focus of the Competitive Program is to develop players to reach their highest playing potential. Both programs look to foster an enjoyment and passion for the sport. See the new player page and handout: Competitive Versus Recreational Soccer.

How is the Competitive Program Organized?

  • Player ID/team formation occurs end of July/early August for the following year
  • Teams are organized by: age, gender, skill and registration numbers
